General Veterinary Technician Session: In this lecture we will discuss the fundamentals of biosecurity within large animal practice. We will discuss detection, prevention, containment, and general protocols for management. We will also discuss client education, and what our clients can do to prevent disease transmission.

Jamie DeFazio Guiberson

Nursing Supervisor

Jamie DeFazio is Evening and Midnight Nursing Supervisor at New Bolton Center's Widener Hospital at the Large Animal Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. Jamie earned her associates in veterinary technology from Harcum College in 2000, and her bachelors degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources from the University of Delaware in 2015. She holds a veterinary technician specialty in Equine Veterinary Nursing since 2011.
