It seems that many veterinary professionals express an interest in being better at "reading ECGs". One often hears, “I only know what lead 2 looks like, all the rest is confusing." This interactive session will take us beyond simple pattern recognition of arrhythmias, and present a system for evaluating the electrocardiogram. The participant will have an opportunity to perform hands on reading of ECG's, taking some ECG measurements, and calculating a Mean Electrical Axis. For veterinary technicians seeking to pursue a Veterinary Technician Specialist certification in cardiology, internal medicine or emergency and critical care, this session will be extremely valuable.
