George E. Moore

After graduating in the first class from the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979, Dr. Moore spent more than 22 years in the US Army with various assignments including Director of the Dept. of Defense Military Working Dog Veterinary Services, at Lackland Air Force Base, TX, and Chief, Department of Veterinary Science, US Army Medical Center & School, Ft. Sam Houston, TX. He is currently a Professor at Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in West Lafayette, Indiana, and serves as the Director for Clinical Trials at Purdue’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital. His research interests include companion animal disease epidemiology and evidence-based medicine. Dr. Moore has authored or co-authored more than 100 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, and currently serves on editorial review boards of the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine and the Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association.
