Dr. Hartnack grew up in Bakersfield, California having no idea she’d end up being a veterinarian. After obtaining a degree in English from Barnard College in New York City, she moved back out west and, through a series of events, ended up attending veterinary school at Colorado State University. That led to an internship at Kansas State University in Food Animal Medicine and Surgery and a residency at The Ohio State University in Food Animal Surgery. She has been at Texas A&M doing Food Animal Surgery for the past three years.
