Sunday, November 4
4:00 PM - 4:45 PM
Location: W311EF, Orange County Convention Center
Topic(s): Hospital Medicine
Faculty will discuss the management of urinary tract infection (UTI) in infants and children “beyond the guidelines.” Issues thought to be controversial in current guidelines will be covered, including the role of urinalysis, criteria for diagnosing UTI, and whether the guidelines for 2- to 24-month-olds apply to younger infants. The role of ultrasonography, further evaluation, and prophylaxis will be addressed.
