While the opioid epidemic is currently being addressed with lifesaving heroic measures, attention also must be given to the role pediatricians can play in primary prevention of addiction. This session will focus on evidence-based and cost-effective programming for parents to prevent child and adolescent substance use that can be offered in the office, hospital, or community setting.
