Sunday, November 4
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Location: W314, Orange County Convention Center

Topic(s): Children with Special Needs, Disabilities

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) affects at least one in 68 children. Therefore, all primary care pediatric health care professionals will encounter children with ASD. To deliver timely and effective medical, behavioral, educational, and social services across the lifespan, pediatricians must understand the needs of individuals with ASD and their families. This seminar will help primary care professionals provide a medical home for patients with ASD and work with families to implement appropriate treatments and supports.
