Pediatric Hospital Medicine: Where We Have Been, Where We Are, and Where We Are Going
This program will take a look back on the past 20-plus years of pediatric hospital medicine and then look forward to the challenges that a new (and young) specialty faces: leadership development, mentorship, resiliency, and wellness. A panel discussion will address the specialty process itself, drawing parallels with the emergency medicine journey to specialty status. Discussion also will focus on how pediatric hospital medicine must meet new challenges head-on as it continues to mature and develop.
