Saturday, November 3
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Location: W304EF, Orange County Convention Center

Topic(s): Child Abuse/Neglect

Many victims of child sexual abuse will present to the pediatrician’s office before or after a disclosure has been made. Pediatricians also evaluate children for genital complaints that can mimic findings seen with sexual trauma. This case-based session will review examination techniques, common genital complaints that present to the outpatient setting, and interpretation of genital findings. Faculty will lead an interactive discussion on problems ranging from labial adhesions to genital trauma.
