This interactive session will include a brief introduction about essential steps of basic eye examination followed by
case presentations of ocular emergencies such as blunt and penetrating ocular trauma, chemical-induced ocular
injury, vision threatening ocular infections (orbital cellulitis, gonococcal ophthalmia), periorbital infections,
dacryocystitis, ocular tumors, leukocoria, abnormal pupil, megalocornea (indicating possible glaucoma) and tearing.
Discussion of how to treat and when to refer will follow including Q & A session.
