Building Resilient Children and Communities
The many determinants such as poverty, community violence, and insufficient family relationships are among the many determinants that have the potential to harm children’s health and life outcomes. This session will address how pediatricians can build on child and family strengths to foster resilience. Faculty will identify strategies that pediatricians can use to promote resilience in practice, and ways to partner with other professionals to promote healthy, resilient homes and communities for children to thrive.
