Hosted by: Archaeology Division
Of interest to: Practicing and Applied Anthropologists, Students, Those Involved in Mentoring Activities
Curious about how to prepare for a career in archaeology? Unsure of how to navigate the job search or what options are actually available? Wondering how to best position your research for external funding support? Interested in making connections with experienced academics and other professionals?
We invite all students in archaeology to join colleagues for a lunchtime mentoring event. Students and recent graduates will have the opportunity to network with those who share similar interests and/or aspirations. Roundtables will be hosted by Archaeology Division members who will facilitate discussions around topics of interest to participants. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions concerning academic jobs, cultural resource management, the government sector, grants, fieldwork and training opportunities, publication preparation (for academic and public audiences), navigating paths to administration, and equity issues for all of the above.
Open to any student or recent graduate with an interest in archaeology or a related sub-field.
