This session will provide participants training and education on oral health issues relevant to pediatric patients prenatally through adolescents. Faculty will address common oral health issues encountered by families, including the management of syndromes involving the mouth such as cleft palate/lip; the influence of maternal oral health on their children’s health; the management of early childhood caries; commonly encountered mouth and gum problems; and adolescent oral health issues. Attendees will learn the relationships between diet, undernutrition, overnutrition, and oral health.
