This session will begin with a short review of pediatric malpractice risks with an emphasis on liability risks that may be commonly misunderstood or overlooked. The audience then will engage in case-based discussion of 10 commonly held misunderstandings about health care law and liability risks. Risk-management strategies to protect against these liability risks will be offered. The audience also will engage in group problem-solving on how to incorporate these risk-management strategies into pediatric practice.
