This session will introduce important concepts and techniques that permit the pediatrician and/or staff to assess visual acuity accurately and perform eye screenings in preschool age children. These techniques include the use of validated eye charts, correct vision testing techniques with a child-friendly approach, and a review of recent advances in photoscreening device technology.
