NINDS has launched a new initiative to foster the growth of the emergency medicine research community. This new national program, called the Emergency Medicine Research Career Development Program in the Neurological Sciences (EMRCDP-NS), will recruit, mentor, train, and support early-career emergency medicine faculty to conduct research in the pre-hospital and emergency department setting. With additional funding from the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute on Aging (NIA), this program will support research career development related to basic, clinical and translational research relevant to emergency care of patients from pediatrics through geriatrics. For more about the program, including how to apply, read the following article in this month’s SAEM Pulse from the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine: https://lnkd.in/e8n_mpNi #trainingtuesday #academiclife
