The first European Style Organic Infant Formula that meets FDA standards. Founded by moms in the U.S.

About us

Bobbie is the first and only mom-founded and women-led infant formula company in the U.S. Our European-style recipe meets all FDA requirements, is made with pasture-raised milk from Organic Valley farms, and is the only infant formula to receive both the Clean Label Project’s Purity Award and Pesticide Free Certification. Bobbie is working to shake the stigma and evolve the conversation around how you feed your baby to one of confidence, not comparison, from how we feed to what we feed. We lost sleep over this so you don't have to.

Two years ago we open sourced our #paidleave policy. Two years ago we decided to get loud about the lack of national paid parental leave in the U.S. Two years ago we showed other companies that if the government won't show up for working parents, then together, we (the private sector) can 💪 Why? Because just 15% of companies with less than 100 employees have access to employer-provided paid leave and one-in-four mothers in the U.S. return to work ten days after childbirth. Without access to paid family leave, nearly 30% of women drop out of the workforce within a year of giving birth, and one-in-five do not return for more than a decade. Since releasing our #TakeOurLeave playbook, it has been downloaded more than 1,500 times by companies that employ a collective 790,000 workers. Bobbie co-founder and Chief People and Experience Officer Sarah Hardy sat down with Fast Company to talk about the evolution of our game-changing parental leave policies, the impact it's driven internally, and how it has expanded beyond the walls of Bobbie with our Parents Push Harder Grant Program ⬇️

This week some of our team attended, and spoke at, the Moms First Summit in NYC this week where we dove deep into discussions on transforming corporate America, the policy arena, and our culture to create a world where every mom can thrive. If you weren't there or watching the livestream, we got you. Here are—just a few of—our key takeaways: 📌 In order make deep impact, we need to have deep empathy: we need to advocate for, stand with and fight along those who have different lived experiences, as though they are our own. 📌 We can eradicate the maternal mortality crisis in our lifetime with dedication to resourcing midwifery and more inclusive, comprehensive pre and post-natal care. Credit: Charles Johnson, 4Kira4Moms, Inc. & Elaine Welteroth 📌 Parenting is the hardest job with the least amount of training or support. We need to resource moms with education, policies, and community. Credit: Dr. Becky Kennedy 📌 We're all for motherhood in general, but not in particular: we need to pay attention to and prioritize the nuances and diversities of the modern parent. Credit: Hillary Clinton 📌 Real impactful change happens at the intersection of compelling storytelling and cold hard data. Credit: Emily Oster and our very own Cat Canada Thank you to Moms First for having us and giving Bobbie for Change the mic to highlight the work we are doing to advocate for policy change in partnership with grassroots nonprofits (5 of 8 who were actually present!) and elected officials. Our 🤰🏻 Social Media Manager: “hey should I ask Meghan Trainor to make a TikTok announcing my pregnancy at the brand photoshoot?” THE Meghan Trainor: “Say less.” The Bobbie team has a reputation of going all out with pregnancy announcements. Doing a TikTok dance with the mother of all mothers at 36 weeks pregnant might be our favorite one yet. 😂 Angela Hanks, one of the moms behind Bobbie’s Instagram, is officially on her 6 month maternity leave to bond with her second baby. Comment below with your best advice for transitioning from 1-2 kids! We’ll send it her way💚

Today we want to acknowledge, celebrate and support the incredible childcare providers in our lives. As we lead into Mother’s Day, we can’t forget about the people that are part of our village --- the work they do is truly some of the most important work there is. We are singing loudly over here Happy National Child Care Provider Day to all of the child care providers, educators, babysitters, grandparents, and more who love on and take care of children out there. We see you, appreciate you and absolutely couldn’t do it without you! And after you’ve celebrated the childcare provider in your life, learn about the work of Moms First and Chamber of Mothers, two of our non-profit partners championing affordable and accessible childcare and the amazing childcare professionals out there.

    A Mother, Co-Founder & CEO of Bobbie

How do you do it? Vanessa. My child care is how I do it. And Vanessa makes my world go round. We are going into Mothers Day this weekend but not to be forgotten - today is national child care appreciation day. Vanessa is an extension of me. She is an educator. She is their best friend. She keeps them safe. She keeps me safe. She gives me peace of mind. She is a mother. She has taken on child care as a career. She is a professional. This is her livelihood. She loves her job and she's really really damn good at it. Vanessa is my village. Vanessa has one of the hardest jobs around. There's no world I could be the mother of 4 kids, run Bobbie and have any ounce of sanity without Vanessa. The fight on affordable child care support, funding, access and even its very existence has been heating up over the last year. "A debate of its importance" that just pisses the Irish mother in me off. It's too important to be ignored. But today is not getting into the debate about 'Why' - it's putting a face and impact to the child care who make it all happen. Here's what I've learnt disrupting the formula industry.... Tell The Stories!! You can explain all the reasons why something needs to change but the storytelling, celebrating of the humans and silent majority will raise the greatest awareness. Share the love, appreciation and stories of your childcare today..everyone has a different Vanessa - teachers, grandparents, babysitters, significant others... maybe yourself. ❤️ #childcare #childcareappreciationday

✔️Problem solving ✔️Time management ✔️Team-building Skills you need as a mom 🤝 Skills you need as a business leader There’s a pervasive myth in our society that being a working mom can limit your ability to show up for your kids. The truth is, our careers teach us so many skills that make us better parents—like how to build a support team, find creative solutions to problems, and maintain your cool when challenges arise. In honor of #MothersDay, you’re invited to a special conversation between two moms who built companies while building their families: Kate Ryder, Founder & CEO of Maven Clinic, and our very own Laura Modi, Co-Founder & CEO of Bobbie. Kate and Laura will discuss how being mothers influences the way they lead their teams—and how the way they lead informs how they show up as parents. Spots are limited! Have you ever pumped on a work trip? For pumping moms, that first work trip can be overwhelming. On top of all the emotions that come with leaving your baby for the first time, many of us are left figuring out what to do with our bags of breastmilk. Before she ran marketing for Bobbie, our Chief of Brand Kim Chappell found herself frantically Googling how to travel with breastmilk back in 2017. She discovered Milk Stork, a company that helps working parents get their breastmilk where it needs to go. She mustered up the courage to ask her employer to cover the cost of the service and to her surprise—they happily agreed! So it’s no surprise that she was a big advocate to make Free Milk Stork services an employee benefit at Bobbie. As a team of majority parents, some of whom are exclusively breastfeeding, we’re damn proud to help our team make sure their babies are nourished in the way they choose to nourish them. 💚 Read the email she sent and the reply she received on Medium: https://lnkd.in/eQZpq9KU

Our very own Laura Modi (Bobbie) and Jessica Chang (Upwards), joined Julia Boorstin on stage at the #CNBCChangemakers (CNBC Events) event earlier this month to speak to their personal experiences founding businesses to help theirs' and others' families and address shortcomings in the market. They discuss: 📌 Leadership as working moms 📌 Navigating entrepreneurship & raising money, while pregnant, in a room full of men 📌 Defying expectations and beating the odds Watch the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/ewFBkw_6
