The livestreamed 2021 ACVS Virtual Surgery Summit was for 87.5 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) approval, with 20.5 hours available to an individual attendee.

Participants should be aware that some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education.

Additional on-demand opportunities

Pending RACE approval, those who purchase the Virtual Surgery Summit Package may earn up to 146.25 continuing education credits via Surgery Summit On-Demand offerings.

Individuals who did not purchase the Virtual Surgery Summit package may purchase individual on-demand seminars, keynotes, and Residents' Forums through the ACVS Digital Learning website. The number of continuing education credits will be noted with each offering's description.

For additional information, contact Cynthia Perez, ACVS continuing education coordinator, at (301) 916-0200 x107, or visit the AAVSB website at www.aavsb.org.

Maintenance of Certification

The livestreamed 2021 ACVS Virtual Surgery Summit is an ACVS Diplomate maintenance of certification (MOC) activity. To have ACVS record this activity on their MOC record, ACVS Diplomates must complete the post-presentation evaluation questions in the Virtual Surgery Summit website or mobile app for each lecture. Questions must be completed by October 24, 2021. ACVS will upload the 2021 ACVS Virtual Surgery Summit activity to MOC records on October 25, 2021.

ACVS Diplomates who attended the 2021 ACVS Virtual Surgery Summit but did not complete the post-presentation evaluation questions by October 24, 2021 in the Virtual Surgery Summit website or mobile app may still claim their activity points by adding the meeting to their MOC records themselves.

ACVS Diplomates are responsible for recording their ACVS Surgery Summit activities before 2021.

Additional on-demand opportunities

ACVS Diplomates now have access to additional on-demand continuing education through the Virtual Surgery Summit. To have ACVS record these on-demand activities on their MOC record, ACVS Diplomates must complete the corresponding quiz questions.
